What it covers

The unglamorous foundation everything else needs.

Technical SEO is not the part of SEO that wins industry awards. It does not show up in case study screenshots. It is, however, the part of SEO that determines whether everything else has a chance of working. If your technical foundation is broken, no amount of content, links, or strategy will fix the underlying problem. We start here, every time.

Schema implementation

LocalBusiness on every page. BreadcrumbList globally. Service schema on service pages. Review and FAQ where validated. ContactPage on contact. Blog schema on posts. Every implementation runs through Google's Rich Results Test before deployment. Schema is no longer optional. It is how machines understand what your business actually is.

Core Web Vitals

Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint, Cumulative Layout Shift. We benchmark, prioritize the highest-impact fixes, and re-test until the metrics pass on real-world field data, not just lab data. Google uses CWV as a ranking factor. Most sites we audit fail it without anyone noticing.

Crawl health

Full Screaming Frog crawls. Identification of orphan pages, broken internal links, redirect chains, soft 404s, duplicate canonicals, infinite loops, and parameter handling issues. Crawl errors compound silently. A site with 500 redirect chains will eventually lose rankings even if no individual chain is catastrophic.

Indexation control

Robots.txt configuration. Meta robots tags. Canonical tags pointing where they should. XML sitemap accuracy. Pagination handled correctly with noindex follow on archive pages. Faceted navigation controlled. Search results pages excluded. Confirmed indexation in Google Search Console for every URL that should be indexed.

Redirect mapping

Documented 1-to-1 mapping of every old URL to its new location during any change. No bulk catch-all redirects to the homepage. No accidental redirect chains. Every 301 tested in staging before going live, and re-tested on production within 24 hours of launch.

Internal linking

Hub and spoke architecture. Topic clusters with proper supporting article linking. Footer link discipline. Navigation that reflects how Google understands your topical authority. Internal linking is one of the most underused tools in SEO and one of the highest-leverage when done well.

How we work

Audit first. Then fix. Then verify.

Our technical SEO engagements start with a full diagnostic audit. Crawl health, schema validation, Core Web Vitals, indexation status, internal linking architecture, redirect map review. We document every issue we find with specific URL examples and severity ratings. You see the audit before we propose any work, so you know exactly what we found and exactly what we're proposing to fix.

From there, we prioritize fixes into three buckets: critical issues that are actively hurting rankings, optimization opportunities that will improve performance over time, and nice-to-haves that can wait. We work through the critical bucket first, always. Optimization comes after critical fixes are deployed and verified. Nice-to-haves only happen if you specifically ask.

After each round of fixes, we re-run the relevant portions of the audit to confirm the fix actually worked in production. Implementing a schema fix and assuming it deployed correctly is a common mistake. We never assume. We verify.
